Airbnb Athens’

Two compact apartments designed through precise planning and custom-made solutions

This 90 m² apartment in Athens, with two additional balconies of 8 m² and 4 m², was reimagined and transformed into two independent Airbnb units, each designed specifically for short term stays.

The project focused on dividing a single apartment into two compact yet fully functional homes. The first unit, approximately 40 m², is a one-bedroom apartment designed to accommodate up to four guests, with a private bedroom and a convertible living area. The second unit, approximately 50 m², is a two-bedroom apartment that accommodates up to six guests, combining two bedrooms with additional sleeping space in the living room.

Despite their relatively small size, both apartments were carefully planned to feel complete, comfortable, and intuitive. Every square meter was considered in order to maximize functionality, allowing the spaces to offer a full and high-quality hospitality experience.

Managing the project remotely added a significant layer of complexity. Working with unfamiliar local suppliers and a different work culture required continuous coordination, alongside frequent flights for on-site supervision.

To maintain a clear and consistent design vision, all carpentry and furniture were custom-designed. This approach allowed full control over proportions, storage, and spatial flow, ensuring that every element fits precisely within the space.

The result is a pair of compact apartments that demonstrate how thoughtful planning and precise design can transform limited space into a refined, efficient, and well-balanced living experience.
